Call for copyeditors and junior managing editors at CRCL

The Journal of Cross-Disciplinary Research in Computational Law (CRCL) is a diamond Open Access scientific journal. We are currently looking for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in the domain of ‘law and technology’, who are native English speakers, willing to join the editorial team as:

  • copy editors and
  • junior managing editors

Junior managing editors will work with a Handling Editor on submitted papers, contributing to guiding them through the process of double blind peer review. The Handling Editor will remain responsible, reading the paper and deciding on peer review, rejection or acceptance, but the junior managing editor can offer their own insights and learn about the peer review process from an insiders’ perspective. They will also do the copy editing of the paper.

Copy editors will step in after a paper have been accepted and checked for overall compliance with the authors’ guidelines. Their main function is to correct English, check for legibility, and ensure the referencing style has been followed. Copy editors will be asked to ‘do’ a maximum of one paper per month.

Applications are welcome at mireille.hildebrandt@vub.be.
